This is Barney
He's a eight year old male pearl cockatiel.
He was around three months old when he came
home with us. We got him from a local bird
breeder named BJ, (what a treasure she is).
She answered all of our questions and went out of
her way to be helpful. It didn't take Barney long
to capture our hearts and have us waiting on him
hand and foot. He spoke his first words around 7
months old, he said "Whatcha' Doin". Immediately I
called everyone I knew to tell them my little feathered
child had said his first words. The little rascal has added
about thirty more words to his vocabulary and will use
them often to get more attention. I will continue to be
in awe every day to watch a small little fluff of feathers
give so much unconditional love. All he ever asks in
return is lots of head scratches and kisses. Barney gets
lots of love from the hubby and I, so no problem there.
He is a joy to us and keeps us laughing with his antics.
Both my hubby and I feel having Barney Bird with us is
another one of... Gods Blessings to us...
